I’m making really good ringtones for myself, but I want to put them on my site so my friends can download, the question is will they ( singers) shut me down or even sue me for that if I even go big and have good traffic? for example I’ll take Eminem’s song, I will cut it, trim it, make it as a ringtone and put it on the web… or I need some kind of license…. Looking at myspace layouts, seems like everybody makes them with whatever and whoever they want…
I also had though in my mind of making a website and make like a 5-10$ monthly membership for unlimited ringtones 
….but then there are lots of other big sites who sell ringtones, how do they get to do that? without being sued!

You can’t take part of someone’s music and sell it. It is illegal. The big websites pay a license fee.
