Why have you waited 6 years? Phone your local police station or court house ask lots of questions.
Head over to http://www.google.com and type in the city or county name where the warrant is. Look for a link to the Clerk of Court.
Send a letter to the Clerk, asking if there are any active traffic warrants against you, and what the fine is that would dispense with it. Ask that if no warrants are found, the clerk write you a ‘letter of clearance’.
Then, if it ever comes up again, you can show your clearance letter and testify that you understood the warrant had been dismissed.
uh – call an attorney or the courthouse or police department? get to the point and get over it faster!
Why not just pay it and get it off your back? That’s usually the easiest way.
well, now, there are good reasons for the traffic laws. They help us to be organized and safe. There are some countries where there is no organization and the 2nd highest cause of death is traffic accidents. You may not have thought about running that light, or parking too close to the corner, or speeding or whatever,,,, but you didn’t get away with it,,, for your safety and everyone else’s you got a ticket…. and you were still irresponsible and just left it for 6 years.
Time to pay it and learn the lesson you were supposed to, and be more careful and considerate on the roads.
