It would definitely help to know why you needed this information. The streets in Clayton, downtown, Olive Street Road from Lindberg to 141 are busy with workers during the week. Shoppers are at the Galleria, South County and West County Shopping Centers on the weekend.Traffic is busy all along Highway 270, Highway 70 from downtown thru St. Charles, Highway 40 west of 270 and Highway 44 from downtown trough Eureka. Tourists always end up at the zoo, the stadium and the arch. If you are looking for a place to locate a business I would suggest that you look at the census data. If you can be more specific, perhaps we can give you better answers
I would go to the Central West End.
You want a place where people feel safe and can spend their money. Also, a place where younger people hang out is good too.
There are nice bars, restaurant, shops and lots of good activities. It reminds me of New York City, but much, much, smaller. It just has a good vibe to it.
Oh! And keep this in mind. Celebrities often come down here and there are two concert venues. One is Blueberry Hill, a restaurant/bar/concert hall. The other is The Pageant. It’s big enough to fit a full house but small enough to be close to the artists. Very cool!
I’d say the Loop is one of the most thriving parts of STL. The Landing, and pretty much anywhere downtown hasn’t really made a comeback, even though they’re desperately trying. You can redo old buildings and turn shoe factories into lofts, but you can’t make street corners safe enough for families and young couples. Keep dreaming!!
Hope this helps.
The valley, well thats what we call it, i guess its really called chesterfield commons, is always VERY crowded! It is a huge shopping center thing, like freakin long. Theres a lot of stuff down there, a movie theatre, restaruants and everything which is why its so crowded. theres a lot of big stores like target, wal mart, micheals, linen’s n things, world market, lowes & home depot (stupid, right?), sam’s club, baby’s r us, and others, filled in with a lot of little stores
also theres a lot of people at west county mall all the time. its like a zoo down there!
Manchester Road, from McKnight all the way out to Clarkson Road, for sure.
Yes, Clayton – especially the area around the Galleria.
Ah, yes, definitely “the valley.”
Highway 40 in the evening
I agree with the previous answer, but I would have to add the U City Loop and the Central West End to that list.
I-270 and Manchester @ Rush Hour
U City Loop
