I was watching the Bears throttle the Bills on the local CBS affiliate outside the Chicago market. Mid way through the 3rd Quarter, the announcers say that they are switching to the Dolphins/Patriots game because the Bears/Bills game was a blowout. So, I switch over to Fox and watch the Redskins/Giants. At the end of that game, Fox swtiches to the Vikings/Lions game….and announces a big welcome to all who were watching the Redskins/Gians. And then announces a big welcome to all those who watched the Bears beat the Bills. What is going on…
Why would CBS dump out of a game? Even if it is a blowout, this is rare (and stupid). Is this a new policy?
Second, I thought games were exclusive to each network, based on conference play. How could CBS and Fox both be carrying the Bears game?
Anyone have the inside track on this?

BAD!!! WHAT IS UP, YOU PATHETIC VIKINGS FANATIC (nice backdoor win today, btw)
Ok, I will try to answer a little better than “bar” who apprently doesn’t know the difference between answering a question and being a bratty, immature troll.
CBS appears to be trying to compete with DirecTV Sunday Ticket. DirecTV is running ads with P. Manning where he is orchestrating a blowout and says “with Sunday Ticket you could be watching my brother Eli and the Giants.” So, I would suspect CBS is trying to compete with that by guessing which game out of market viewers want to watch. Doesn’t make it right, of course.
The whole Fox vs. CBS thing is beyond me. Don’t have a clue on that one…so if someone can answer that one too…give them the 10…not me (do that and I will hunt you down like the dog you are
Best of luck figuring the deal out…and I will cast a spell to keep anymore trolls away.
Your region is messed up. Here in NY, we get to watch the whole Skins-Giants and whole Jets-Jags and whole Eagles-Cowboys.
